Canberra Cinematographers win ACS Awards
Canberra cinematographers won six awards at the 2005 NSW/ACT Australian Cinematographers Society Awards in Sydney on Saturday, 22 October. The full list of ACT/NSW prize-winners can be found on the ACS website at: http://www.cinematographer.org.au/awards/state/nswact/winners05.
Congratulations to Ben Emery who won two Silver Awards (Newsgathering – Single Camera for G8 Protest and News Magazine for Wagga Drought). Highly Commended Awards were presented to Geoffrey Ellis (Corporate Productions for The Assignment and Fiction Drama Shorts for The Milkman), Robb Shaw-Velzen (Training and Educational for Monthly Insights 7) and Roger Price (Documentaries – Cinema and TV for Cheese Slices).

For the first time in the event’s 37-year history, the National Awards for Cinematography will be held in Canberra next year on 27 May.
