French Film Festival
16-22 March, Electric Shadows Cinemas, City Walk, Canberra
The French Film Festival is screening at Electric Shadows for one week from 16 March, presented by the Alliance Francaise in association with Peugeot.
The festival opens with Anthony Zwimmer, a fast-paced romantic mystery thriller with Sophie Marceau. Other highlights include new films from Bertrand Blier, Patrice Leconte and Francois Ozon, a treasured Kieslowki project completed by Danis Tanovic (Oscar-winner for No Man's Land), and a rare screen appearance by Jeanne Moreau.
Note: All festival films are restricted to persons 18 years of age and over, unless otherwise specified. This relates not necessarily to the content of the films, but to the legal requirements of holding the festival, as set by the Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC).
Admission: all films are $15. All concessions (except for opening night) are $13. Six Tix (six films for $54) are accepted and any unused tickets may be used after the festival for normal Electric Shadows screenings. Opening night party and film:$35.
Tickets on sale from Electric Shadows 10 days in advance. Programme brochures will be available from the cinema. For more information, visit: www.electricshadows.com.au.
