The session looks at your legal requirements for developing, producing and distributing film productions – nationally and internationally – and will be presented by the workshop advisors of Tropfest 2005!
Before films, short or other creative activity is to be developed, or distributed and exhibited, the legal trail of all aspects of a making of a film must be ensured.
What do you need to know to ensure you can send your films to any festivals or other distribution channels?

· What will ensure the film can be distributed and shown?
· How can the planning process better ensure these requirements are completed?
· What is chain of title?
· What kind of things does the content creator need to consider and take into account to ensure chain of title?
· How are moral rights, copyright and titling affected?
· What type of legal requirement do you need to understand for copyright, obtaining the rights to stories and ideas for scripts?
