Screen Australia Market Travel Grant opportunities for MIPTV
Screen Australia is offering travel grants for producers travelling to the upcoming market MIPTV 30 March- 3 April 2009. Note that MIPTV is occurring earlier in 2009 than in previous years.
MIPTV is the international market for financing, co-producing, buying and selling entertainment across all platforms. The conference provides the freshest global perspective on the changes and challenges in TV programming, advertising and media, telco-media convergence, broadband video distribution and mobile media. It also hosts a range of specialised events such as MIP Digital Forum with Content 360, the International Digital Emmy Awards and the MIP Accelerator matchmaking and networking events.
More information about MIPTV can be found on the Screen Australia website: http://www.screenaustralia.gov.au/markets
Deadline for applications is Wednesday 11 February 2009
Grants available are Type B for market-experienced producers and Type C for producers developing market experience.
To be eligible to apply for a Type B grant, applicants must have previous producer credits and a current project or slate of projects in the final stages of financing. Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate that they have at least one project they are taking to the market that has secured more than 80 per cent of its budget.
To be eligible for a Type C grant, applicants must have previous producer credits and at least one project in development ready to pitch.
Producers can apply for up to $6000 towards their travel expenses.
The Marketing Travel Grant Guidelines and application form, outlining all eligibility criteria, is available to download from the Screen Australia website:
