Project Fund Recipients 2009
With 38 applications which is 60% increase from the previous round, the ScreenACT Project Fund 2009 round was very competitive. ScreenACT was also able to award 8 grants thanks to an extra top up to the grant funds by the ACT Government.

- Christian Doran for "The Singing Bug", a children's TV series
- Clare Young for "My Notebook", a documentary on her experiences with Jane Campion
- Michael Tear for a documentary slate of four documentaries
- John Frohlich for the feature film "The Competition" which was shot in Canberra
- James Hunter for "One of Us" an ambitious WW1 feature film
- Sotiris Doukounos, for the feature script based on the Helen Garner book "Joe Cinque's Consolation"
- Belinda Pratten, for "Top Dogs" a documentary about wildlife preservation and the dogs that help.
- Tony Oakden, for an e learning game aimed at assisting mental health professionals
